Terms of Engagement

The terms governing your use of this website and the firm’s services.

Last updated: June 2026

Please read these terms before using the site or contacting the firm.

Acceptance

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Purpose of the Site

The site presents general information about the firm and about Mexican law affecting foreign investment and real estate. It is not an offer to represent you and is not a substitute for advice on your specific circumstances.

When Services Begin

The firm represents a client only after a written contract is signed and the scope, terms, and fees of the matter are agreed. Until then, no duty of representation arises, and no deadline, filing, or action is the firm’s responsibility.

Information You Send Before Contracting

Information submitted through the enquiry form or by email before a contract for professional services is formalized is not treated as privileged or confidential and may not give rise to any duty on the firm’s part. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information until the firm has confirmed it can act for you and any conflict check is complete.

Client Identification and Anti-Money-Laundering

Where the firm’s services constitute a vulnerable activity under applicable anti-money-laundering law, the firm carries out client and beneficial-owner identification before and during an engagement, and the client agrees to provide the information and documentation required. The firm may decline or suspend a matter and may file the reports required by law with the competent authority; such identification and reporting are required by law and do not constitute a breach of the firm’s duty of confidentiality.

Intellectual Property

The text, design, photographs, and marks on this site are the property of Lozano & Associates or its licensors and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the firm is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the general information published on this site. Liability under any engagement is governed by the written engagement and by applicable professional rules.

Governing Law

These terms, and any matter arising from them, are governed by the laws of Mexico, with the competent courts of Zihuatanejo, Guerrero having jurisdiction, save where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Changes

The firm may revise these terms at any time without prior notice. The version published here governs current use of the site.
